Dinghy sailing provides an exciting way of getting afloat to experience the thrills of sailing. It is also the quickest and easiest way to learn to sail as dinghies are easy to rig, anyone can handle them and they are very responsive, providing limitless entertainment for everyone.
Lough Swilly Yacht Club will begin their annual dinghy school on June 28. The sailing school is based in the sheltered waters of Fahan Creek. Participants can enjoy the joys of sailing in this safe environment using the Club’s new fleet of Laser Picos.
Watersports have become very popular in recent times, and sailing is a great activity for all age groups. Dinghies are a natural and safe means of entry.
The courses are delivered by a fully qualified ISA (Irish Sailing Association) instructor, and will include, safety on water, how to rig your boat and basic sailing techniques
