Organisers of the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race are returning to Derry-Londonderry later this week, searching for local crew members to join the city’s third team entry in the world’s longest, most unique ocean race.
Clipper Race organisers, including former crew members, are touring Ireland and will host a free talk at Derry-Londonderry’s Guildhall on Friday 6 February at 6.30pm, and then Belfast’s Odyssey Complex on Saturday 7 Feb at 12.00pm, for those interested in finding out more about getting on board the world’s longest and most unique ocean challenge.
Clipper Race founder Sir Robin Knox-Johnston said: “This will be the third entry from Derry-Londonderry and builds on the huge success achieved in previous races both by the crew and its business partners, building a lasting legacy as UK City of Culture 2013. I encourage everyone to get behind this and I know the fleet’s visit to the Foyle will again be a highlight of the Clipper 2015-16.”
To attend the event, please RSVP to Della Parsons, Clipper Race Recruitment Manager at dparsons@clipper-ventures.com.
